As TROIKA begins Aion, I know we are all very eager to return to the great friendships that we have forged.

TROIKA is a strong guild. Made strong by our members selfless dedication to working as a team. Many guilds are plagued with members that are out for personal gain. And those guilds quickly die. But not TROIKA! We will continue to grow as we move to Aion. We will continue to crush our enemies. And we will continue to command respect from our comrades.

Be ever mindful that you are the reason for the success of our guild. Continue to uphold our core values and beliefs. Actions speak louder than words.

  • Be intelligent – ask questions to gain understanding; better to ask and learn than to not ask and never know.
  • Be mature – act in a respectful and civil manner, towards guildmates and towards others. Do not taunt opponents, even if they taunt you. "Kill and move on" is our philosophy.
  • Look forward – do not despair over a loss; instead, focus on analyzing it to better understand and improve your gameplay.
  • Lift others up – encourage and motivate your guildmates – do not assign blame for losses and liberally share credit for victories. Do not criticize, instead offer suggestions as to how to improve.
  • Communicate – If you have an idea for a strategy, say it. Don't assume others know something if you have never told them. Make sure everyone is on the same page before attempting a strategy. Be creative in strategy and disciplined in execution.
  • Be friendly – Be a nice person. Be helpful. Offer advice and support to your fellow guildmates. Help each other out.
  • Have fun – Enjoy yourself. If you're playing a game, you should be having fun. This is not a job, this is a game.

I am proud to fight alongside of you as much as I am proud to call you my friend. We should all be proud to wear the TROIKA tag!

Thank you all for your dedication!

Hey Cazz - it was good to hear from you last night.  What's the new guild name mean?

It is Latin for darkness.  I wanted a basic name in Latin or Greek that wasn't overdone because that is symbolic of us: small and simple, yet educated and robust.  I found it doing some translations and thought, "perfect."  I used the name in closed beta, and now we changed our Warhammer guild's name to match when we switched servers after Praag died.

We're also looking forward to rolling with you guys, assuming all works out.  Yes, I know I keep reiterating that " if it all works out," but the single most important thing I want in an alliance cooperation minus any resulting drama, and the bigger our little alliance gets, drama can poke its evil head through the door.  Out of all the guilds in this thing, you guys are the most like us: smaller with a coordinated, dedicated, and talented core (i.e., you get stuff done despite your choice to stay small), so I relate to you all.  I love Ases's leadership, but I am worried about their aggressive recruitment.  Eighty guys leaves a lot of room for drama-heads.  Nonetheless, in the meantime I will go with the flow and hope I'm wrong.  Smiley
